I don't know that this is something we'll get to on our own but I think we'd happily accept a patch?

i solve that issue on this file i will send you it also limit user not to write to to certain amount of words you have set. width and length can be fixed by adjusting number of col and rows.By this it wont expand to infinity length and it will limit amount of character while updating the user on amount of characters user has entered at the bottom.. i had to post it here before i submit a patch and and commit as a change.
