What steps will reproduce the problem? 1. Playing any music-file from 'file->open' 2. Choosing any plug-in returns an error

What is the expected output? It apparently looks for the plug-ins in the folder of the playing song, which, in case of a local song, aren't there!

Yes, this is a problem. I'll try and fix it when I get some time.

Sorry for sounding like a noob, but I believe I have fixed this issue and would like to submit it for review but do not know what to do. (I can use svn etc but do not see instructions on how to submit for this project)
