btstack - issue #389

Controller for All: can't connect controller

Posted on Mar 6, 2014 by Quick Lion

Okay, so, the issue is I'm trying to use Dualshock 3 controller on my iPad and iPhone using ControllersForAll and BTStack. As I believe, everything works fine except BTStack. When I press PS Button as requested to connect to my iDevice's MAC-adress, BTStack icon on the status bar periodically turn black for a split-second, then grey again. I looked up the log file, as I understand it connects and then disconnects suddenly with some unknown code. This situation happens both on both of my iDevices: ipad3 and iphone 4. BTStack is installed from BigBoss's repo. So, what the deal with it? Is it my local problem or is it a lag? Log attached, awaiting for you response. Thank you.

I can confirm that the Dual Shock 3 closes the connection 100 ms after BTstack accepts the incoming connection. There's no problem with BTstack whatsoever. Please contact the developer of Controller for All about that. I'll look at DualShock 3 and 4 when I'm updating Blutrol for iOS 7 later this month.

I have the same problem, I'm trying to use Dualshock 3 controller on my iPhone 4 using ControllersForAll and BTStack. As I believe, everything works fine except BTStack. When I press PS Button as requested to connect to my iDevice's MAC-adress, BTStack icon on the status bar periodically turn black for a split-second, then grey again. I do not know what to do. :/

Nothing wrong in the first log - nothing happens.

In the second log by damian, the dualshock tries to connect to PSM 0x11 but there seems to be no service registered. Nothing wrong from the BTstack view.
