Hello
I want to play with my PS3 Controller on my iPhone 5S It is jailbroken and i installed Blutrol
When i try too connect the controller with my phone, an error appears. "Bluetooth not accessible!"
I checked out BTstack in settings and saw this message: "There was an error loading the preference bundle for BTstack"
What does it mean? Is my iPhone 5S not compatible with BTstack?

Posted on Jan 21, 2014 by Happy CatSo if it didn't work with ios 6, then why has it been updated to kindof work for ios7?
Will the BTC mouse & trackpad every work for ios 7?
Posted on Jan 21, 2014 by Swift OxIt works better on iOS 6 than on iOS 7. On iOS 6, it worked fully until you've pressed HOME to switch to SpringBoard or another app. On iOS 7, all you can do is simulate a HOME click, once.
BTC Mouse & Trackpad will updated for iOS 7, probably beginning of February.

Posted on Feb 8, 2014 by Swift RhinoMatthias, kindly let us know how iOS 7 update is coming along? Waiting patiently to have BTC Mouse and Trackpad working again. Thanks for your efforts.

Posted on Feb 9, 2014 by Swift OxSure. Sorry for not providing more updates. I've fixed BTstack for iOS 7 beginning of January but that's not used by BTC Mouse & Trackpad. I've started on Bluetooth Companion (basis for BTC Mouse & Trackpad) but that's a larger effort.
I've updated Bluetooth Keyboard Helper yesterday to get started. I'll update WeBe++ and BTstack GPS next - both shouldn't be complicated to fix.
I'll have to work a few days more on BTstack qualification but will then focus on update the tweaks.

Posted on Feb 19, 2014 by Happy ElephantHi Matthias. Thanks for all your efforts. I'm anxiously looking forward to being able to remote access my 3D software with IPad using your bluetooth mouse app & Logmein. Can you confirm functionality of middle mouse and scroll for orbiting and zoom ? I am using a Microsoft 5000 mouse.
Posted on Feb 28, 2014 by Swift OxOk. BTstack GPS has been updated for iOS 7 and is available on Cydia/BigBoss as usual. It does have a new icon but doesn't use the iOS 7 UIKit style (that would have complicated stuff, so I've skipped it for now).
Next will be WeBe++ as it needs the same fixes as BTstack GPS. BTC Mouse & Trackpad comes after that.

Posted on Mar 4, 2014 by Massive Camelhi, I hope it's not an annoying question. I would like to use my bluetooh keyboard with iDOS 2. It worked with iDOS 1 with standard connection in iOS 7, but it's basically useless for gaming, since holding a key or an arrow makes everything stutter, the key hold means something different in standard iOS bluetooth than on normal keyboard. Wih iDOS 2 it doesn't work at all. I wanted to know if BTStack + BTStack Keyboard have a different approach and if they can be used with iDOS or similar things...and if there will be iOS 7 support coming. thanks a lot!

Posted on Mar 24, 2014 by Swift PandaHi Matthias,
Thanks for update BTC Mouse & Trackpad! have been waiting eagerly for this.
Unfortunately running into some issues.
Issue1: Pairing with a Microsoft Wireless notebook presenter mouse 8000. I can now see mouse/trackpad detected as a bluetooth device, however when trying to pair i recieve two prompts
1). Pairing unsuccessful - Make sure your "keyboard" is turned on, in range, and is ready to pair.
I click ok and then recieve
2). Pairing unsuccessful - Make sure your "mouse/trackpad" is turned on, in range, and is ready to pair.
Issue2: Pairing with a Mighty Mouse
When i try to pair with a mighty mouse, i dont get the error messages above, however the ipad just reboots and i recieve a message that springboard has crashed and that my ipad is now in safe mode with extensions disabled. In this mode the btc mouse & trackpad bluetooth extension is disabled.
I have to power off ipad to get it back to normal.
I am using iPad AIR 32gb Celluar running iOS 7.0.6 evasion7 1.0.7

Thanks for getting BTC updated. I'm sure it was worth the wait. I have a problem though. I originally bought a Microsoft 5000 mouse a while ago when I heard about BTC, but never got it to work because of iOS7. Now I've got your package installed but it's not seeing the mouse at all. Do you have any idea what mice may or may not be compatible with this ? Which one do you use ?

Posted on Mar 26, 2014 by Happy HippoSame here, my magic trackpad won't pair, it keeps connecting then disconnecting every second as the green light on the trackpad goes off and on, and keeps repeating.
I have tried mac advice, like holding the trackpad button, to turn off, then hold till it flashes, then hold while connecting, but nothing.
I have tried reinstalling btc mouse and trackpad, resetting the ipad, and also, have told the ipad to forget the device, reset, and tried from scratch.
Please help...

Posted on Mar 26, 2014 by Swift WombatHere's the way I've managed to get it working in IOS 7:
- First uninstall anything related to mouse or bluetooth
- If you previously synced your bluetooth mouse with another tweak or whatever, go to bluetooth in setting and desync it by using Forget this device.
- Install BTC from Cydia
- Go to bluetooth and let your mouse be discovered.
- Click on it, it should not prompt your for a passcode.
That's what I've done on my iPhone 5 and iPad air with 2 different mouse (china and logitech one).

Posted on Mar 27, 2014 by Swift OxHi there. Here's some feedback and troubleshooting advice
Reboot loop: just cannot happen because of BTC Mouse & Trackpad
Springboard crashing into safe mode: shouldn't happen. please de-install other tweaks and try it alone. then add them back to see if one particular tweak causes this
Bluetooth crashing when connecting to Apple Magic Trackpad: this happens for me too, so it's easy for me to fix it. just wait for an update.
Mouse not showing up: reboot, then make sure Bluetooth settings shows "Extensions: BTC Mouse & Trackpad". Make your mouse is a Bluetooth mouse (not just wireless) and it is discoverable. It really should show up. If not, please try with a different mouse
Mouse doesn't pair: has been reported e.g. with Microsoft Notebook Mouse 5000. I've found one online and ordered it. will test & fix when I get it
Mouse connects but no mouse pointer: weird. please reboot and try again.

Posted on Apr 3, 2014 by Massive GiraffeMattias,
I just purchased BTC Mouse & Keyboard on my ipad 4th gen running iOS 7.0.4 and I have not been able to pair my Apple Magic Trackpad. It does not show up in bluetooth settings at all.
I have tried all above suggestions:
Deleting .plist file in preferences, deleting any other tweaks that have to do with bluetooth stuff in cydia, removing/reinstalling BTC, removing keyboard from other devices previously synced to, restarting iPad, hard reset on iPad.
Nothing I am doing is making a difference. Is the Magic Trackpad currently not supported? I can get it to show up on my iPhone 5S, but as soon as I try to connect, (like others have mentioned) bluetooth disables and turns back on leaving me without the trackpad connected. So out of 2 devices - I can't get this to work.
Feeling discouraged that I just paid for this and cant do anything with it. :(

Posted on Apr 4, 2014 by Happy ElephantTo follow up on the Microsoft Mouse 5000 & IPad air issue, I can confirm that both the mouse and my Ipad work as both are able to pair up with other devices. The IPad pairs with headphones, and the mouse pairs with every other laptop in the vicinity. It does not get detected at all by BTC Mouse however.
If there is anything that I can provide to assist in debugging this issue please let me know.
Also if we can start a list of compatible hardware on this wiki, I think that would be helpful all around. If anyone who is successfully using a mouse with their IPad could post the make and model that would be great. If it turns out that I have to switch mice, I'd like to know what my options are.
Thanks,

Posted on Apr 8, 2014 by Swift OxHi. The crashes with the Magic Trackpad are fixed and also the pairing hack to use mice without a pin. The Philips SPM 9800/10 cannot be paired on 10.9, but now again with BTC Mouse & Trackpad.
--
Now, for those where the mouse doesn't even show up on the Bluetooth settings: Please delete /var/mobile/Library/Preferences/ch.ringwald.btc-mouse.plist. Then, kill Preferences (or Respring or Reboot) and tap to "Activate BTC Mouse & Trackpad" again. Then try pairing again. If that fails, please post /tmp/BTServer.pklg here - you need to enable PacketLogger first

Posted on Apr 8, 2014 by Happy ElephantJerry : I used this app called "iFile". http://cydia.saurik.com/package/eu.heinelt.ifile/ It allows you to browse the file structure of your iPad. It's 4$. If other people have a preferred method please chime in. I have deleted the file but apparently left the mouse at home so I haven't been able to try it yet.
rled050469 : You have a Microsoft 5000 Mouse currently functioning with BTC ? I have the same using an iPad Air & iOS 7.0.4 and the latest companion update did not change anything. Nothing appears in the Bluetooth device list when I put the mouse in pairing mode. The mouse pairs fine with a Macbook Air though. I have not been able to test after deleting the .plist file though. I should be able to verify in about 4 - 5 hours.

Also I don't know how to use iFile to DELETE files...iFile let me EDIT them, where i could erase all the bytes, but no DELETE???
should i delete both of those files i mentioned and HOW can i get iFile to DELETE?
NOTE that the FREE trial version of iFile got installed...i wnat to buy it IF i can figure out how to delete...and i used the menu taps to get down to those file names...don't even know how to key in a delete command like: delete /var/mobile/Library/Preferences/ch.ringwald.btc-mouse.plist

Posted on Apr 8, 2014 by Quick Rhinoi purchased the iFile product... i fired it up...after registration... I got to where ch.ringwald.btc-mouse.plist was showing under preferences i pushed the "Edit" button in the upper right - a circle appeared to the left of all the files listed... I pushed the circle next to ch.ringwald.btc-mouse.plist I pushed the trash can on the bottom - it aksed if i should "MOVE FILE TO TRASH" I pushed that and it disspaeraed from the list I pushed the trash can again and EMPTIED the trash... I pushed DONE I then took a look-see with iFile and the file was indeed no longer showing... i then.... tried several different ways to re-start including power downs and ups and no matter what i do, the file, "ch.ringwald.btc-mouse.plist," keeps reappearing when i go look for it with iFile...and the system never displayed any different about any mouses not did it find the blue tooth mouse...
I used iFile to delete both ch.ringwald.btc-mouse.plist abd ch.ringwald.btc-mouse.plist% (just for grins and giggles) many times and re-ran through the above sequence in many different ways....
let me know if i missed any steps...
thanks again,

Posted on May 9, 2014 by Swift Oxjloeb@.. hi. support for right click in remote desktop apps is hard, as iOS doesn't have a concept of it and remote desktop apps have way for that. I've added a special hack for Jump Desktop where BTC directly hands the mouse events to the app bypassing iOS touches altogether, which then make the scroll wheel and right work flawless. It's not possible to do this in a general way and also relies on remote desktop app devs not changing their interal code to much resp. providing a nice way to inject mouse data in the first place.

Posted on May 25, 2014 by Grumpy ElephantIs there a list of compatible Bluetooth mice? I think this would be the easiest way. I have went through 2 mice so far with no luck Logitech M317 and Micrososft Wireless Mobile 3500 (both are very common bought from wal-mart and Target). Neither of these devices are working. My bluetooth headphones are working properly as well as a new trent bluetooth keyboard case (I already had connected and working before I tried this program). I wonder if the issue has to do with the fact that these mice have a bluetooth dongle that has to be plugged in to usb port instead of just being a stand alone.
I updated my btc companion , did a restart of springboard multiple times after multiple uninstall / re-install of program, I also did a reboot of the ipad mini multiple times).
bluetooth settings DO SHOW "Extensions: BTC Mouse & Trackpad" I have also deleted the file "ch.ringwald.btc-mouse.plist" (I was able to find it doing a search but I believe it was in a different location then what you listed it was in /var/tmp for me).
This is a very weird issue
Comment #75
Posted on May 25, 2014 by Grumpy ElephantUPDATE I just got off the phone with Logitech support and they informed me that even if I have a laptop, ipad etc. that has bluetooth built into it that we would still need to plug the bluetooth receiver that comes with the mouse in for the device to work and be discovered (I believe this is because of a vulnerability that was found in bluetooth devices allowing people to do wireless key logging). In our case that would stop the mouse from working with the ipad because there is no usb port for their special bluetooth dongle. This may be the case with a lot of the new bluetooth mice from major brands I will contact Microsoft support as well to verify this problem with my other mouse.
Posted on May 26, 2014 by Swift Ox@mattlew64: Neither the Logitech M317 nor the Micrososft Wireless Mobile 350 are Bluetooth mouse. There's no mention of the word "Bluetooth" on the page. If it has "wireless" in the name and/or comes with a special USB dongle, it usually isn't Bluetooth. As such they won't work (well, not unless there's an update to support those USB dongle, which is not very likely).

Posted on Sep 10, 2014 by Grumpy HorseHi Valore is selling this combo keyboard/trackpad (http://www.valore.sg/Valore/project/valore-2-4ghz-wireless-keyboard-and-mouse-v-ac666/) and I have read conflicting reports of this working/not working with IOS 6 and 7.
Would Matthias (or anyone else who has this) be able to let me know if it works before I buy BTC KB&TP? The keyboard works fine, but no mouse pointer.
Thank you!

Posted on Sep 10, 2014 by Happy Kangaroo@dds2410 The webpage doesn't mention Bluetooth and you get a separate USB Dongle -> it cannot work. (if anything metions Wireless, it's usually NOT Bluetooth)

Posted on Sep 10, 2014 by Happy Kangaroo@dds2410 well, that at least uses Bluetooth. I don't know if the mouse part is supported by BTC Mouse & Trackpad. BTC Mouse & Trackpad doesn't support taps in general, and I don't know if this one has dedicated left/right buttons. I've got some reports that various combi devices don't work but I'm not able to fix it currently. I could only refund the BTC Mouse & Trackpad purchase if it doesn't work, but cannot help you with finding a working device. sorry.

Posted on Sep 10, 2014 by Grumpy HorseThanks for the clarification! It doesn't have a dedicated left and right button so I guess its a no go :(
No need for a refund, I didn't purchase yet, found someone who did and said she couldn't get it working.
If ever you do get such device working, please let us know!
Thank you!

Posted on Oct 21, 2014 by Quick DogHope you guys can help me. I had successfully paired my Logitech Thin Mouse with iPad. But after I used it on my MacBook, the iPad refused to connect it. It appeared in iPad bluetooth devices list but just won't connect. Tried "forget" the mouse and "on/off" the bluetooth to no avail. Very strange! Please help.
