btstack - issue #237

WeBe++/btstack, pairing issue

Posted on Feb 4, 2012 by Quick Camel

What is the expected output? What do you see instead? I can't seem to pair over bluetooth with any of my devices. I tried connecting my iphone with my Ps3 and my Win7 Computers, but my devices can't seem to find each other.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system? WeBe++ 1.1-6 iPhone 4 running IOS 5.0.1 Untethered with Corona 1.0-8

Please provide any additional information below. Btstack wasn't working until I installed Corona. Every time I went to open WeBe++, it would crash because Btstack wouldn't connect to daemons or something like that. :\ Also tried searching for a similar problem but I couldn't find anything specific to this problem. Thanks

Also, re-springing and rebooting hasn't helped.

Does the PS3/PC "see" the iPhone with WeBe++ running? If yes, does the actual paring process fail? Do you get asked a PIN on both sides?

No it wouldnt show up to pair with any of my devices. In the end, I just did a fresh restore, set my phone up as new and re-jailbroke my phone with the latest redsn0w. Now its working just fine. Well, apart from not showing the devices name it pairs with...but that's fine. So long as it works. :D

I have similar problem. The ps3 actually finds the iPhone and gives the pairing key, but after inputing it on the app, nothing happens on both ends. The ps3 hangs on the pairing process and only becomes responsive after turning off BTstack, even after canceling nothing happens. I have the same version of iPhone, app, jailbreak and corona as user above. Should I start a new issue? Bought the app and I have been trying contacting developers for a few days... Please advise on the subject.
