blacktree-quicksilver - issue #266

Quicksilver doesn't open in Snow Leopard

Posted on Sep 16, 2009 by Quick Giraffe

What steps will reproduce the problem? 1. Install Snow Leopard 2. try to launch Quicksilver

What is the expected output? What do you see instead? I wanted the application to open, but it appears to not work.

What version of the product (including Quicksilver version, AND the module version related to the buggy functionality if appropriate) are you using? On what operating system? QuickSilver B54, Mac OS 10.6

Please provide any additional information below, and please attach the corresponding crash log under ~/Library/Logs/CrashReporter if your problem ends this way.

You should probably be running β56a7 from http://code.google.com/p/blacktree-alchemy/downloads/list

Same behaviour for me. I solved the problem with a different file extractor. Somehow the 7zX.app changed the chmod attributes for Quicksilver. No problems with the official file extractor in Snow Leopard. So obvious no bug in Quicksilver, but in 7zX.app.
