Introduction

OpenXsensor is the evolution of OpenXvario and extends it to multi-sensing applications.

Based on an Arduino platform, it connects to different sensors and transmits the measurements via FrSky telemetry capabilities.

It is both compatible with the D series receivers (HUB protocol) and the new X series rx (Smart Port protocol).

Functionalities provided at your choice :

• Altimeter / Variometer (like FrSky Variometer high precision sensor)
  • Can use a second barometric sensor and switch with TX while flying
• Air Speed
  • Can be used by OXS to compensate vertical speed measurements (dTE)
• Up to 6 voltages measurements
  • Battery voltage measurements (like FrSky FBVS-01)
  • Lipo battery cell measurements (like FrSky FLVS-01 or FLVSS)
  • ...
• RPM sensor
• Current sensor (like FrSky FAS or FCS)
  • Can calculate the consumed current
• Can use any sensor outputting voltage
