The Appscio Media Processing Framework (MPF) is a unique, new software framework. It is designed as an open source, standards-based platform for configuring media processing pipelines combining best-of-breed semantic media (audio and video) algorithms with mature libraries of CODECs and other low-level algorithms compatible with GStreamer. Semantic algorithms are those designed to extract structured "semantics" (metadata representing words, objects and object behaviors) from unstructured media channels.
