xnoise - issue #85

support for gap-less playback

Posted on Oct 8, 2011 by Grumpy Monkey

xnoise (0.1.29) currently inserts a gap between tracks. this makes it pretty inconvenient to use it for playback of continuous music.

would be great if this could be fixed

ok ... unfortunately the situation with media players under linux is pretty disappointing. either the playback engine is good, but the media library/interface sucks or the other way around :/

the playback engine: most music that i am listening to requires gapless playback. so basically i cannot use any media player without it. it would also be nice to be able to set the volume in dBfs rather than percent (which is a pretty meaningless unit for representing volume), but well ... as long as the mixer for my soundcard uses a decibel scale, i'm fine ...

interface and media library look very good, fast and clean (!). :)
