./autogen.sh .: 9: gnome-autogen.sh: not found

gnome-autogen.sh is part of gnome-common package. install with: sudo apt-get install gnome-common This should work at least on ubuntu. I will add this as a build only dependency for xnoise in the wiki.

and i have already installed the gnome-common is already the newest version. 0 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 to remove and 3 not upgraded. please help me.. what can i do? my OS is Ubuntu 10.04

Are you serious? This is not the empathy developer site. This is the xnoise media player developer site. I am not related to empathy at all! Why are you asking me? Maybe you should find out the right IRC channel and ask there.
