xfce2rox
xfce2rox is a small library that imitates XfcePanelPlugin. This way, most xfce applets can also be run as rox applets.
Currently ported xfce applets ( slightly modified, no xfce dependencies ):
clipman ( Zero Install: http://xfce2rox.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/clipman/Clipman.xml )
cpugraph ( http://xfce2rox.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/cpugraph/CpuGraph.xml )
datetime ( http://xfce2rox.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/datetime/DateTime.xml )
iconbox ( http://xfce2rox.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/iconbox/IconBox.xml )
netload ( no zero install feed yet )
xfapplet
systemload
tasklist
weather
( The zero install feeds don't contain external libraries ( libwnck,..). I'm too lazy to package them as well. If you have installed the gnome or xfce desktop, all necessary libraries are already installed )
It's possible to run several instances of the same plugin at the same time with different settings ( useful for xfapplet ). Just create a symlink to the AppDir and drop this symlink on the panel. Different settings are used for each location. However, this won't work, if you use AddApp/ZeroInstall, because the real locations of the applications are hidden behind wrappers. ( Even worse, their locations change with each update, so you must configure the plugins again after each update. )
