While the news feature is great, it doesn't make it clear when the news has been updated. I recently updated the Diaspora news to make it clear that patch 1.0.2 is out but it doesn't look very different from before so it's easily missed.

Can we just get a little NEW icon to appear by any newly downloaded news?

What if new news appeared in bold? Would that work?

The easiest visual changes to make are those supported by wxWidgets' HTML support (see http://docs.wxwidgets.org/stable/wx_wxhtml.html#htmltagssupported ).

How long would new news stay "new" for? Only until the next time the launcher is started? Would clicking on news that's marked new make it no longer "new", like how an e-mail inbox works?
