Play button does not revert from it's disabled state if registry_helper fails for some reason

Play button now reverts to play and enabled in all cases, but proposed behaviour would be to recognize the error and either offer to show the user some help or bundle up debugging information so that we can try to debug the issue.

Sounds like a good idea. So clicking the "play" button - whatever it's label will be after an error - would launch the troubleshooting wizard?

Builds capable of running FRED won't highlight the PLAY button if a FRED build is not selected or is deleted, but the FRED button is still available.
