w3simpack

Tools for generating and replaying HTTP scenarios

By re-sending previously captured HTTP requests to your server(s), the way your browser does when you click, W3SimPack simulates an internet browser user, in order to automate human behavior.

W3Simpack provides a framework for: * Monitoring availability and performance of WEB applications, * Sending this kind of information to NAGIOS monitoring systems, * Performing stress tests on an WEB application and its servers.

W3Simpack is a package composed of three distinct modules: * A module designed to generate a scenario from a live WEB network capture, * A module designed to schedule such scenarios on given applications, and feeding NAGIOS with the results, http://uppix.net/f/6/7/50fa2c4f132702831c93d69dd4534.png http://uppix.net/f/d/e/673afaacdca1f4db17afa3232bae7.png * A module designed to perform stress tests on an application, by running many concurrent scenarios and recording response times and errors. http://uppix.net/3/6/6/194d8d0723aed0b359ae91756b65e.png http://uppix.net/0/f/f/50d6c4b50ab2c51a4b7aba640a129.png http://uppix.net/7/f/7/da24461e66df9e24fbaaa897a158b.png http://uppix.net/2/7/1/4e11018ee7cd0fac2c306626e02a8.png http://uppix.net/4/6/c/73ad6bab591675fd2adaa5fd3aa73.png

The central element of W3SimPack is the scenario which, once generated, can be replayed at will either by the provided scheduler or stress engine.
