What steps will reproduce the problem? 1. Copy executable to VirtuaWin module subdirectory on a Windows 7 64-bit system

2. Run "install-dll.bat" to register the .dll

3. Error message appears from Windows: "The module "vwKvasdoPagerBand.dll" was loaded but the call to DLLRegisterServer failed with error code 0x80040201."

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

Expected to see vwKvasdoPagerBand.dll successfully registered.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

Windows 7 64-bit (retail), latest updates.

Please provide any additional information below.

I received this same error in Win7 32-bit.

This problem can be worked around by starting a command shell as administrator(right click and select "Run as administrator") and running "install-dll.bat".

I was able to install the module with an administrator console, but cannot get the toolbar to appear.

I also can't get the toolbar to appear (win7 64bit). It's a bummer because it looks like exactly what I want ):

I was just thinking: this may just be because it's a 32bit binary? I know that 32bit explorer extensions don't load under win64. Perhaps if you tried compiling a 64bit version and releasing here it'll Just Work (tm) (:

would love to see a 64bit binary compatible release!

Got the same problem win 7 32 bit so found this forum by googling. However solved it. 1. First registered the dll in administrator console. It registered all right in [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\CLSID {8E0D7E18-8018-4050-980D-36D3F20DD7C7}\InprocServer32] @="c:\Program Files\VirtuaWin\modules\vwKvasdoPagerBand.dll" "ThreadingModel"="Apartment" 2. It is the age old windows problem. After installing program/ dll you have to reboot/relogin. I relogin in the user and lo there was the option in add toolbar option. 3. The dialog box pop up saying the application is not fully supported. However it works fine . The only problem is when the icon in system tray is added or removed, the vwKvasdoPager icon changes which is unsightly. 4. Not tried in 64 bit but hope it works.
