Failed to fetch zero plane infor for device (Target VM failled to initialize) Mac OSX 10.8.5

What steps will reproduce the problem? 1. Downloaded the SimpleOpenNI 2. Downloaded Processing 2.0 3. What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

Installing OpenNI however can't seem to install

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

SimpleOpenNI 1.96 with Mountain Lion OSX 10.8.5

Please provide any additional information below.

send_cmd: Data buffer is 322 bytes long, but got 334 bytes freenect_fetch_zero_plane_info: send_cmd read 334 bytes (expected 322) freenect_camera_init(): Failed to fetch zero plane info for device libc++abi.dylib: terminate called throwing an exception Could not run the sketch (Target VM failed to initialize).

I am the original poster of this question, the thing is, I have successfully installed simpleOpenNI on my mac some 6 months ago and it works perfectly fine however I tried to install simpleOpenNI on my macbook pro with mountain lion now and its giving me issues, so either it must the issue with mac OSX 10.8.5 or issue with the new simpleOpenNI. Waiting for replies...

Hi folks, same problem. My cfg: MBP A1286 (2Ghz Corei7) OSX 10.8.5 Processing 2.0.3 SimpleOpenNI V 1.96 Kinect Model 1473 (XBOX 360)

Any help very apriciated!

I got the same issue under fedora 19 with openni and my 1473 kinect. glview works fine though.

Same issue here, any progress on this? I have Kinect model 1473, maybe that's part of the problem? It worked before the last update, though

I asked this on SO, and got a great answer: use a previous version. It worked for me. http://stackoverflow.com/questions/21181039/how-to-use-libfreenect-java-wrapper-in-processing
