What steps will reproduce the problem? 1. Put a shortcut to rainmeter in XP startup folder. Must have multiple monitors going. 2. Restart machine 3. Rainmeter starts, (icon in system tray), but then immediately ends with no error message.
What version of the product are you using? On what operating system? Rainmeter-1.0rc1 64bit on XP x64
If rainmeter is then run manually it continues to run as expected. This only fails if multiple monitors are enabled. In a single monitor environment Rainmeter runs (and keeps running) on windows load as expected.

Posted on Aug 12, 2009 by Grumpy CatI isolated the problem to only happen when another program runs at start up as well.
The program is Multi-Monitor Task Bar from here:
http://www.mediachance.com/free/multimon.htm. When I disable this utility from running
at startup Rainmeter continues running as expected.
Perhaps this program is changing some parameters concerning a multi-monitor setup which Rainmeter assumes to be fixed.
