What steps will reproduce the problem? 1. activate a skin 2. put "Position" to "On Desktop"
What is the expected output? What do you see instead? the skin is supposed to show on desktop. instead, it doesn't show at all. when i change the desktop wallpaper, the skin blinks. it's like if the skin is behind the wallpaper.
What version of the product are you using? On what operating system? i tried version 0.14-32bit and "Latest-20090421-32bit" on windows vista SP1.
this happens with all skins

Posted on May 2, 2009 by Massive MonkeyA little more information is probably needed. Are you using Dreams? If not, what file types are the wallpapers you are using? Are you hiding desktop icons, and what method are you using to hide them? Are you using any non-standard method of switching wallpapers?
In the future could you report bugs at http://www.rainmeter.net/forum/index.php ? We are trying to field bugs and suggestions there, then pass on complete information here. It is just an attempt on our part to keep the developers from having to do so much reading and responding when they could be working on code.

Posted on May 7, 2009 by Massive Cati think that's a different issue. this one happens when using Aero under vista. as they explained in the new forum, Aero is in some way a layer that works over the desktop. so when you set a skin's position to "on desktop", it is actually on the desktop, but under Aero. thats why you can't see it. you don't get this problem while using the vista basic theme. i guess the solution is to stick the skin to Aero, not to the desktop. but i don't know if that's even possible.
