High CPU Usage with Rainmeter

Posted on Mar 25, 2012 by Swift Ox

What steps will reproduce the problem? 1. Closing Rainmeter 2. 3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead? Reduced CPU Usage (25-30%)

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system? Rainmeter v2.2.0 r1116 64-bit on Windows 7 Professional 64-bit

Please provide any additional information below. If the problem is a related to some config option attaching a example is always a good idea. Try to keep it as simple as possible and make sure that it is a fully working Rainmeter config (i.e. it includes all graphics too).

My PC Specs: CPU: Intel Core 2 Quad Q9450 RAM: Kingston 4x2GB = 8GB RAM DDR3 @800MHz (Downclocked because of motherboard) Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 470 Motherboard: ASRock P45R2000 Hard Drive: 1TB (C:) Windows, Applications and Games and 2TB (Data)

Now for some reason when Rainmeter is open, my Anti-Virus starts to hog a lot of my CPU, but when I close Rainmeter, it comes back to normal..

I already did that but did not make a difference but I fixed it though by re-installing rainmeter, and had backed my rmskin from way before, but now for some reason it won't let me backup :(
