Save to partition on hard disk in Puppy 4.3.1 frugal install is broken

Posted on Feb 14, 2010 by Massive Bird
  1. Use the Puppy Universal Installer to create a frugal install on a hard disk
  2. Boot into new frugal puppy using grub
  3. Make changes i.e. use the network wizard to automatically connect to the internet.
  4. Select Shutdown/Reboot Computer from menu
  5. Select Save to sda? when prompted (save to file works).
  6. Reboot Computer and no settings (keyboard, locale, timezone & xorg/xvesa) have been remembered and internet connection has not been established, unlike when save to file has been chosen.

There is evidence that this may be an outstanding bug for sometime.
