qemu problem: no disks in #S

passing on information from hmr in #plan9:

9front fails to boot on qemu 1.7.50 on slackware 14.1

command line: qemu-system-i386 --enable-kvm -cdrom plan9.iso

thats odd, the panic() string "no disks (in #S)" does not appear in the kernel.

term% strings /386/9pcf | grep disks 4961997: diskstates 4966480: diskstates

also, the memory line seems odd... 0M for user?

someone attach the kernel image to this bug report, i dont think this is a 9front kernel.

downloaded latest qemu for windows (1.7.0) and it works fine:

issue could not be reproduced. its likely a problem with the qemu setup. original reporter destroyed the setup so cannot be investigated further, so closing this issue.
