Special characters in category names not handled correctly

Posted on Aug 2, 2010 by Quick Ox

Reported by Christopher Culy:

Problem: Some combinations of names of values cause the graph to display incorrectly (skewed, and even off the right edge in some cases).

How to reproduce:

Here is sample CSV data (NB: my locale makes Excel use ; rather than , as the delimiter, but that isn't the problem, I don't think -- see below):

N;a;b 5;A;dollar

4;B;hash

Open the sample data. Assign $ as the name of dollar, and # as the name of hash. Show the graph, with all values: the first column is incorrect.

NB: using only $ and not #, and vice versa, does not cause a problem -- the graph shows correctly. It is only when both $ and # are used as names that there is a problem.
