What steps will reproduce the problem? 1. open my to.arne_bab maildir (with jump to maildir)

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

I expect to see my email. Instead the minibuffer flashes the messages:

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

I have several huge maildirs (together more than a million mails) and I track the mails in Mercurial, so there is a .hg/ folder in the top-level folder. mu seems to try to analyze that, too (it shows me the .hg/store/[name] maildirs, even though they cannot contain valid emails).

Operating System: Gentoo GNU/Linux, Emacs 24.3.1

Can you reproduce this with a more recent version? If so, can you get a backtrace?
