What steps will reproduce the problem? 1. Open a chat window (any). 2. Write and send enough text to make the vertical scrollbar appear. 3. Give focus to the text area for sent and received text, e.g. by clicking inside of it. 4. Scroll with the trackpoint to the right. 5. Scroll with the trackpoint to the left.

What is the expected result? The expected result is that the scroll to the right happens only when there is some text there. Afterwards, scrolling to the left should return the window (or viewport, depends on how do you want to call it) to its original position.

What happens instead? Scrolling to the right is possible whenever, while scrolling to the left never, making the window stuck with displaying only part of the text. Closing and reopening the window, or resizing it resets it to its original view, but it's a bit bothersome.
