miranda - issue #1420

Yahoo status not synced with Miranda or environment changes

Posted on Aug 28, 2011 by Massive Elephant

Miranda Version : 0.9.29 Unicode Build : Yes Test Build # (if applicable) : Plugin Version # (if applicable) :

What steps will reproduce the problem? 1. Configure an AIM and Yahoo connection 2. Launch Miranda.
3. Status | Online 4. Only AIM goes into online mode. 5. Status | Yahoo | Online // now both are online 6. Status | Away 7. Only AIM goes into away mode, not Yahoo 8. Status | Offline 9. Only AIM goes offline, not Yahoo 10. Logon to AIM and Yahoo 11. Configure Miranda to go into Away mode when screensaver or pc is locked. 12. Lock the pc. AIM is "away", but Yahoo is "available" (via another computer)

What is the expected result? This started to occur about a month ago, and it's getting more annoying to me. I would expect that the state of both my Yahoo and AIM connections to be synchronized for login, status changes, and logoff.

What happens instead? My Yahoo connection runs on it's own unless I specify it precisely. Global conrols no longer work.

Hrm! Interesting. Not sure how it got locked, but that did address the issue.

Thanks Borkra.
