memexplex

A meme-reference management tool for semantically-related idea mashups.

Inspired by Vannevar Bush's concept of the Memex, MemexPlex is an online application that allows user to enter references and log memes in the form of blockquotes against them. Meme curators may associate memes to other memes as triples in subject-object relationships defined with a predicate. Curators may also create schemas, where they may collect memes into macro-memes, constructing arguments or gathering ideas into a collection supporting an larger idea.

Future development will seek to build community options into the application, supporting special interest groups (SIGs), collaboration among colleagues, and a user rating system to filter the signal out from the noise.
