I am starting a new project where we will do slight changes too. Most importantly we will adapt this module to work with slf4j instead of log4j (which is a facade, which can then be bound to log4j).

I would like to submit these changes to this project so we can keep our LGPL obligations too, while your project stays compatible with log4j.

Let me know the most convenient method to do this.
