Using temporal relations in BFO 2 are still under debate in the OBO Foundry community. It is likely a long term project to deal with time related model and need to be thoroughly tested before apply to OBO Foundry ontologies. So, we (Barry, Bjoern, Chris, James, Jie) decided to make a BFO 2 classes and RO relations (atemporal relations) based IAO now.
