What steps will reproduce the problem?
Install a Windows, not a home edition. (XP or Vista or ... 2008R2). Use virtual machine for simplicity.
Convert system disk to dynamic disk. A PRIVHEAD record is stored in sector 6 (LBA numbering)
Install Grub4Dos into disk MBR. (I used GrubInst 1.2). MBR-helper occupies sectors 1..17.
Reboot. Windows restores the PRIVHEAD from other copy.
Reboot. Grub4Dos hangs.
What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
