What steps will reproduce the problem?

I cannot seem to get the foreground command to work

foreground FFFFFF

I am in 800x600, with or without splashimage

(not sure if it is me or it no longer works???)

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

Tried 2013-03-03 and 2014 version - both no effect???

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

expecting to see change in text colours?

OK, works in graphicsmode 1 or 2 but not 3 Please close sorry Steve

Is there a definition of which modes are required for foreground command to work?

background and foreground commands only work with old vga graphics modes such as 640x480x4 and 800x600x4. those old vga modes are no longer supported and users should avoid using them, and also should avoid using foreground and background commands. the 24bit or 32bit vbe graphics modes should be used.
