I am a software developer but I've not quite gotten to developing software for GoogleTV yet. Still, I've acquired a device and I'm finding default applications to be crashing out of the box. The notable one is PrimeTime.
It did run previously, but now persistently crashes.
Scenario: - Turn on device - Press "home" button - Select PrimeTime
Observed behavior: - PrimeTime process com.google.tv.alf has stopped unexpectedly. Force close.
This is on a NetGear NeoTV G100. All recent updates have been applied. The version installed is hard to determine, but appears as "May 15 2013" in the app store.
I attached the debugger, and got a log which I think may help in diagnosis. It looks like it is searching for a non-existent class file. I'm not sure how this happened, since it did work before.

Posted on Jul 22, 2013 by Massive MonkeyWell, it looks like I forgot to select the log lines in the monitor, so I created an empty log file. Someone should file a bug on the monitor there. :)
Since I saw it was a missing class, I went ahead and removed the updates to PrimeTime and reinstalled PrimeTime. Now it seems to work. If anyone wants to investigate, there should be plenty of crash reports from my G100 uploaded somewhere. I assume those have the same stack.
If it comes up again, I'll reopen it, but for now it looks like this can be closed.
