Executing code in your address bar

Lately, the simplest method I have discovered is: highlight the line of code and drag it onto the tab (where the page's title is displayed)

Note: some browsers remove the javascript: prefix, leaving the remaining text in the address bar, without executing the code. You will need to type javascript: back in front, after you drag/copy/paste, then hit enter and it should execute successfully.

Creating your bookmarklet

The easiest way is to follow either of the first two methods under Choosing Your Bookmarklet, then simply drag a +1 to your bookmarks location.

Alternatively, highlight the line starting 'javascript:' for your chosen bookmarklet, in the table above. Then drag the highlighted text to your bookmarks location. You should then edit the bookmarklet to name it:

Finally, you might prefer to, copy and paste the 'javascript:' line into the URL field when creating a new bookmark (rather than dragging it).
