What is the expected output? What do you see instead? Expected: file.doc and spreadsheet.xls Instead: file.docx and spreadsheet.xls

Please provide any additional information below. docx and xlsx failed to open, they would open correctly only if I change the file extension to doc and xls manually .

I can confirm that this is the behaviour. I am using the latest version (0.7.6.187). I suppose it is because Google dropped support for .doc and .xls and uses .docx and .xlsx for exported files. The problem is that I cannot open docx files with MS Office. When I double click on the downloaded file, MS Word says it is corrupted. I have also verified that downloading the file in .docx directly from the browser works fine.

We have the same problem (GDocBackup 0.7.6.187, Windows Server 2008 R2 64Bit). I've created a second task to rename all xlsx to xls. Do you still need more details?
