fepa

A flexible framework for energy and performance analysis in HPC centers

News (25.11.2013)

FEPA was presented at Supercomputing 2013 in Denver at the WORKSHOP ON EXTREME-SCALE PROGRAMMING TOOLS. We also had a scientific poster there.

Overview

The FEPA project develops an infrastructure which allows HPC centers to monitor application performance and energy efficiency of large scale systems. The data is presented in a web application and enables to identify inefficient application codes and give hints about possible improvements.

Components

The framework consists of three major components:

  • Backend: Responsible for data collection
  • Middleware: Implements the storage and aggregation of data
  • Frontend: A web application presenting and interpreting the data
