What steps will reproduce the problem? 1. My previous version was 1.0.4.7, with two updates (see issues 43 and 45) 2. Today (Jun 13 2011), there was a red warning that said that I should download a new version manually - I closed Feed Flow - uninstalled it - rebooted the computer - downloaded and installed FeedFlow-1.0.5.0.gadget 3. It recognized previous settings (the only feed I'm interested in: http://www.orafaq.com/forum/feed.php?mode=m&l=1&basic=1) 4. However, it wouldn't refresh, not automatically (set to 120 seconds), not manually (right-click displays, in Feed Flow's upper left corner, a pink dot and a "refreshing circle"). If I close the gadget and "Add" it again, it shows new feeds. Afterwards, it doesn't refresh.
On what operating system/gadget host you are using the gadget on? MS Windows 7 Enterprise edition, 64-bit
Please provide any additional information below. I was quite happy with the previous version and - as far as I'm concerned - I don't have to upgrade. On the other hand, that red warning is a little bit annoying. If it'll disappear in a day or two, never mind. Otherwise, could you, please, take a look?

Posted on Jun 13, 2011 by Swift DogThe one in the attachment is 1.0.4.7 with the patches, without the update notification.
I will not be able to fix this for a while, I will address it when I get back.
P.S. Did you use only one feed when the refresh problem appeared? If not, did it exist when you change between feeds?

Posted on Jun 14, 2011 by Quick RabbitThe new one of 1.0.4.7 seems to have a similar issue. When I try and refresh, it sits there forever and nothing comes up.

Posted on Jun 14, 2011 by Grumpy KangarooThank you for the 1.0.4.7 version without the notification. I have just installed it, and it works fine (refreshes as it should, no problem at all) (sorry that it won't work for jay.tal...@gmail.com).
As I said, I'm satisfied with that version; take your time, fix it - if possible - some day in the future. No need to rush, really.
As of your "P.S." question: I always use only one feed (the one I mentioned in #3 of my initial message).

Posted on Jun 15, 2011 by Helpful DogHi, I've also found quite a number of bugs in the latest version (1.0.5.0). I was pretty free few days ago and decided to open up the gadget file and see what's inside and see if I could do anything to fix them. As a result, I've fixed the bugs I found and also modified it to suit my 1 feed per gadget usage of FeedFlow, now it'll only load the current feed displayed, and will only load another if you switch to it, which makes loading faster if you use only 1 feed per gadget (I have 6 FeedFlow gadgets on my desktop, each displaying different feed). I also made some other modifications to it, please read zorexxmod.txt for the list of changes I've made.
Also, I originally modified this for my personal use, and also to share with my friend, so use it at your own risk!
To the author: I hope you don't mind me posting my modified version of FeedFlow here (or modifying FeedFlow itself). I really like FeedFlow, but the latest version just doesn't work very well for me, and there are certain things I want which I don't think it'll be done on the official release, which is why I decided to modify it. Thank you for your hard work on FeedFlow. :)
One last note: This is the first time I've touched a gadget file, so once again, use at your own risk!

Posted on Jun 21, 2011 by Swift DogMaking modifications is not a problem as long as the main developer names exist on the about tab.

Posted on Jun 22, 2011 by Swift DogOpen up a new ticket if still not fixed in 1.0.5.1

Posted on Jun 22, 2011 by Grumpy KangarooAs far as I understood, version 1.0.5.1 should fix these problems.
I'm on vacation for next two weeks (posting this message from an XP machine) so I won't be able to install it and test how it behaves. Will do as soon as I return. Thank you for efforts you put into solving the problem; I'll let you know the results.
