Getting an 'init font error' on startup, all the default settings and configurations are in place. I'm suspecting the problem is with fetching fonts with fontconfig.

Both installs of fontconfig and fbterm are all using the default settings. Running the latest version of Arch Linux.

Issue rectified; I just needed to install Xfonts packages.

I feel kind of silly.
