What steps will reproduce the problem? 1. Open Pencil 2. Drag a SVG file onto the drawing -or- 2. Drag a Bitmap Image onto the drawing, right click and select Actions->Load Embedded Source, select an SVG file.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead? I expect it to embed and render the SVG image into my document like the website implies

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system? Pencil 1.0-5, FireFox 3.0.10 on Windows XP and 3.5 on Mac OS X 10.5.

Please provide any additional information below. I created the images in InkScape, and tried saving as InkScape SVG and Standard SVG, no luck in either case. SVG files load OK in FireFox.

What works for me is to Drag a Bitmap Image onto the canvas, right click on it > Actions > Load Linked Image, select image (SVG, PNG) and it will show. Further testing needed. Mac OS X 10.10.2
