What steps will reproduce the problem? 1. Open stand alone version of Pencil 1.3.4 on Windows 7 SP1 32bit. 2. In the Pencil Menu, Select Document > New Document. 3. Drag any shape or shapes onto the Untitled Page. 4. Right Click on the Page header and select New Page... 5. Enter any Page Title and click Apply. 6. Drag any shape or shapes onto the Page created in steps 4 & 5. 7. Click on the background of page so no shapes are selected. 8. Type Ctrl+a (Select All). 9. View shapes on each page of the document. 10. Observed: All shapes on all pages are selected. 11. Desired: Only the shapes on the page viewed when Ctrl+A was typed should be selected.
For comparison: 12. Click on the background of a page so no shapes are selected. 13. Select the menu option Edit > Select all. 14. Observed/Desired: Only the shapes on the page viewed are selected.
Discussion: If there is a compelling reason for selecting all shapes in a document at once, it seems like this would be used less often and could be relegated to a menu item rather than the higher use Ctrl+a.
Thanks!
