evoluspencil - issue #160
XP Buttons and other non-native wdigets render as filled black shapes only.
What steps will reproduce the problem?
- Open Pencil with Firefox 3.6.3
- Create a new document
- Drag from "Windows XP Widgets", the 'OK' Button onto the canvas.
What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I expected to see the button rendered, but instead see it as entirely black.
What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Noticed on Pencil stable, and on v1.1.1, both on Firefox 3.6.3 on OSX.
Please provide any additional information below.
This bug seems to be occurring with many of the widgets, I'd theorize that it's something to do with bitmap rendering, maybe. Doesn't occur with the Native widgets.
Apart from this recent problem, it's a great product!

Posted on Apr 26, 2010 by Quick BearThis is also happening for me, but not with the built-in widgets. So the Windows XP OK button is fine for me. Any downloaded collections experience this issue though.

Posted on Apr 26, 2010 by Happy WombatTo clarify, I am using Linux and OSX, so I agree, Native widgets are fine, others are not.

Posted on Apr 26, 2010 by Quick BearI should probably have recorded that I'm using Windows 7 64-bit. It happens in both the standalone version 1.1 build 1, and within Firefox 3.6.3. It also happens on Windows 2008 Server.

Posted on Apr 27, 2010 by Helpful HippoI'm using version 1.1 build 1 within Firefox 3.6.3 (Windows 7 64-bit) and I'm having the same problem: many components are entirely black. Thanks in advance.

Posted on May 12, 2010 by Helpful CamelTag linearGradient inside \WindowsXP-GUI\Definition.xml is not working. I changed fill:url(#linearGradient4109) for fill:rgb(255,255,255) and now I see a white flat button.

Posted on Jun 3, 2010 by Quick BirdI have the same issue with Firefox 3.6.3 and Pencil version 1.1 build 1. Any widget with gradient colors shows as black filled: Gradient Rectangle, GTK Button, Windows XP Button, etc.
