eeedora - issue #6

lspci is not showing wireless card

Posted on Apr 24, 2008 by Swift Bird

What steps will reproduce the problem? 1. /sbin/lspci as root

What is the expected output? What do you see instead? one line showing the wireless adapter. I see no record for the Atheros based lan card.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system? $uname -a Linux Eee 2.6.23.14-107.fc8 #1 SMP Mon Jan 14 21:37:30 EST 2008 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux

Please provide any additional information below.

/sbin/lspci

is this normal??? in system-config-network there is no wireless card either... not surprising!!!! did any of you face this problem? I made the livecd using the svn-trunk yesterday- any pointer in the correct direction will be helpful.

There's a new build method in the SVN tree - I believe the old version had problems creating /dev/ devices.

The new release (and kernel rpm) should fix this problem
