eeedora - issue #2

Plugging in or unplugging USB Bluetooth hangs system

Posted on Mar 4, 2008 by Quick Rabbit

What steps will reproduce the problem? 1. Plug in USB Bluetooth key. 2. Unplug USB Bluetooth key.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead? System hangs, audio freezes (still playing about 500ms in a fast loop), will not respond to anything but hard power off. After doing this, inode errors appear (see other issue) and install is destroyed.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system? 2008-01-25-12h58m

Please provide any additional information below. USB mouse (Logitech G7) hotplugs fine, bluetooth key doesn't.

Does the bluetooth key have a writable area on it? Does it get mounted at all?

Is there a procedure if you plug it into a Windows machine prior to unpluging it?

Does it work hassle-free on a different Linux box?
