dabr - issue #323

Content Encoding Error

Posted on Jan 20, 2012 by Quick Ox

I'm just installed dabr r648 on my 000webhost shared hosting. I think this webhost fits the requirement of dabr. But when I'm trying to log-in, after I authorize my Firefox sent this error on my dabr page.

Content Encoding Error The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because it uses an invalid or unsupported form of compression. Please contact the website owners to inform them of this problem.

Please help me with these errors, I can't the webhosting company at this time...

Do any other pages work on the server? e.g. about, settings etc

If not, this in the FAQ and most likely the server is not set up correctly or can not support the ModRewrite requirement of dabr.

I don't know what's causing your particular issue, but you might have luck if you delete or comment out any lines that mention "ob_start('ob_gzhandler');" - e.g. theme.php line 143.

I keep getting a 404 error even though I've tried everything. I've altered the htaccess, index.php and config.php a million times and I'm also on 000webhost and now it's like it wont open any page other than the homepage now no matter what I click. It just redirects me to the homepage. Only external links to googlecode and the dabr blog are working.
