This is a suggestion not a bug. Is it possible to add functionility to open new tab whenever new url entered in URL field and Enter is pressed.

What do you mean by "URL field"? Do you mean whenever an input is in Chrome's address bar (omni bar)?

Yes. Just open a new tab each time new URL is entered in address bar.

This is somewhat unrelated to mouse drag and go. And not many people are used to this kind of behavior. An extension like firefox's tabmix or tabmixplus with customizable option is more suitable for this. Thanks.

Yes. But those extensions don't work on Chrome and a some people want this functionality, so I thought it shall be something easy to implement in extension which already deals with tabs.

You could press alt+enter after typing in the address bar to open in a new tab.

This is not related to dragging with mouse.
