Are you using Boxee or XBMC? boxee box 1.0 software

What steps will reproduce the problem? 1.play song 2.the gui drops you back main large android nav button or menu 3.to stop the song you have to click now playing (yellow tag icon) and then really fastly press stop before it switches back to the main gui nav screen

What is the expected output? What do you see instead? the music now playing cover art should stay up and allow you to play, stop, pause, etc and allow you to press another button to go back to the main menu if you want to leave music running and do other things.

Please provide any additional information below.

Was just about to post the same thing, until I decided to search. The Now Playing screen in the YouTube app is off as well. It shows that something is playing even of no video has been launched.
