If you want to use ola, and you get an error that your missing files,

You need to install the package ola-dev ( apt-get install ola-dev) before running configure to compile

I will look into this, the problem I had at the time the ola patch was submitted is ola at the time was written against very new versions of certain libraries, and I wasn't about to update all of those on my systems.
