Feature Request: Static Text

Posted on Jun 28, 2012 by Happy Lion

Need a way to add static text. People using amateur radio to transmit the video are required by the FCC to display their call sign at least every ten minute on any video signal they are transmitting.

Being able to add a line of static text to the OSD would allow them to do this.

This would be an enhancement, but I don't see anyway to make it anything other than a defect.

Being able to achieve regulatory compliance for use with HAM frequencies is a very important issue for anyone in the USA flying FPV. Most if not all of the available TX frequencies that don't already conflict with our telemetry or control frequencies require the use of a HAM operators license and thus in order to comply with regulations require your call sign to be broadcast at least every 10 minutes.

Isn't this already called 'call-sign' in the current release?

I found a defect in the HAM callsign field. ArduCam OSD doesn't allow me to enter my callsign. It says I MUST enter 6 characters... I only have 4 characters in my callsign. I tried using spaces, but it insists I use 6 characters. What do I do???
