android-thomson-key-solver - issue #10

wrong key copy

Posted on Apr 1, 2011 by Swift Hippo

What steps will reproduce the problem? 1. Generating the key 2.coping the key only in capital letter 3. Wrong key

What is the expected output? What do you see instead? The correct key should be also without capital letters, whilethe peogram generates the key only in capital letter

What version of the product are you using? On what android version?

Please provide any additional information below.

Could you give some more details about the network? The name and the MAC address would help a lot.

Did you use manual input or sellected the network from the scanned list?

For example with this network

FASTWEB-1-001CA2BCEE48 key: 7505746562

even if there are only numbers i can't connect; while if i use another program (wpa tester) that generate the same key i get access to the network... Il giorno 03/apr/2011 12.20, ha scritto:

So a key with only numbers is generated correctly but you can't connect?

Our program doesn't connect to network. You must choose the key you want to try by clicking on it. After that, wifi settings will open and you can paste the key on the password field. If it is the correct key but it doesn't connect, we cannot do anything about it.

How about password with also letters? Are they correctly generated? I am more worried about this.

yup, you're right. Just fixed in rev. 232. We will be launching an update today ( in fact I was waiting for this fix to start the launching procedures ;) ) so this fix will be there.

Thank you for your help and persistence. About the connection problems, it is not our fault so nothing we can do about that.
