Media player in OS 6 will not play the files, any work around?

Posted on Nov 14, 2010 by Helpful CamelI don't know why OS6 doesn't like the m3u files, as Ampacheberry generates a standard m3u. That being said, I'm in the midst of creating an integrated media player in Ampacheberry. It's pretty well along, and I've got a little cleaning up to do. Expect to see the first revision available for download in about one week. It's the next big thing on my list, but once I get it wrapped up, I'll be curious to figure out why OS6 won't play the m3u. It certainly would make life a lot easier.

Posted on Dec 12, 2010 by Swift HorseBlackberry Style ( OS6, flip phone ) I can't connect to my server, could be phone because I had trouble logging in via the browser with both radio and wifi active. Disabled the radio and could connect via the browser but still nothing with ampacheberry ...
URL -> http://192.168.1.125/ampache/ login: -> http://192.168.1.125/ampache/login.php
thanks!
A menu option for looking at a debug log would be good, so at least I can see if it's a URL, password or other issue perhaps unrelated.
cheers

Posted on Dec 12, 2010 by Helpful CamelTrev, Thanks for the report. I haven't heard from anyone with a Style yet. With the current Ampacheberry available for download, I'm not too sure how it works with OS6. I am just about complete with a new version which has an integrated media player, and I have been testing it in OS6. Have you tried manually selecting a connection method in the options page of Ampacheberry? Also, is your Ampache install >= 3.5? These are a couple of things that come to mind. Also, on the options page, "Server URL:" should most likely be "http://192.168.1.125/ampache" and then your username and login should be entered below. Also make sure that the API ACL is enabled in Ampache. There's a link to the setup and explanation under "Tips" on the "Installation" page of Amapcheberry.
Expect to see the new version in the next couple of days. As far as debug and logging, I don't have anything written into the app right now, but that's definitely worth taking a look at. Keep me posted if you make any headway.
