Adding yourself as a friend breaks your account

What steps will reproduce the problem? 1. Search for your name 2. Open your profile 3. Add yourself as a friend

What is the expected output? What do you see instead? Adding yourself as a friend should be impossible. However, the operation goes through, but breaks your account instead of working as expected
