Using the FORCE_SSL_ADMIN option, or HTTPS in general with the location editor
should be possible with the Google v3 provider:

Hi Dylankk,

actually I have the same issue on my blog - I tink.

We are using SSL for the whole site and the Browser
doesn't load the google scriptes, because it is not
SSL enabled.

How to enable SSL for the Google APIv3?

Geo Mashup 1.7.3
WordPress 3.8.1

Test Site: https://www.lipa-rtw.de/2014/03/17/geo-mashup-test/

Thank you for your assistance

I think SSL on the front end is a separate issue - if you create a new one I'll
look into it.
